Sherwood ® water pump impeller kit, suitable for the following Sherwood pumps:
- G1801 & G1805 pumps, regularly mounted on Caterpillar 3176 engines (Caterpillar 100-6441 & 123-0500).
- G1807 & G18071-01 pumps, regularly mounted on Caterpillar 3196 engines (Caterpillar 123-0471 & 197-1328).
- G1804 pumps, regularly mounted on Caterpillar 3406 engines (Caterpillar 112-6177).
- G1806 & G18061-01 pumps, regularly mounted on Caterpillar 3406C engines (Caterpillar 030-1160 & 201-0956).

Sherwood suggests that impellers be replaced annually, or at least once a year, depending on the application. However, it is advisable to inspect them frequently to detect any excessive abrasions or damage. Additionally, impellers should be removed from the pump housing during extended periods of inactivity to prevent ultraviolet deterioration, vanes from setting into position, and copper bonding between the impeller and the housing. Engine overheating is the primary cause of premature engine wear, and any issues with the impeller can result in this.
